| We had a great time at Focus Apparel and Accessories Show at the California Market Center in downtown Los Angeles. Feedback was great, awesome exposure to LA Market, potential clients for weddings, even designer showroom gigs. The fun part was seeing the Fall 2009 line and omg, the Transit Show.....SHOES!!! Another great thing about the event, there were random ppl twittering about Sugar Bliss Sweets. These are the only pictures that I have since I lost my camera. These were taken from my iPhone. Here's our booth from an angle.

It's getting a bit tough trying to keep up with my Facebook- personal and business, Twitter, Flickr, Blogspot and Xanga account. I probably won't be back as often to update my Xanga so if you're on Facebook or Flickr, do look up Sugar Bliss Sweets. For Twitter, it's Sugar_Bliss, and SugarBlissSweets@blogspot.com mainly has pictures. I may have to incorporate all of these on my own website- www.SugarBlissSweets.com. Thank you to those who have followed me from the beginning, I do hope to pop in every once in awhile to catch up on reading my subscriptions...the updates on tommy, catch moi attn, krazykristenkim, apple, alice and randy, justin debin and of course, esty! Take care everyone! Hope to hear from you soon ;) | | |

| Dear S, Today I attended T.V.'s graduation party. I am not a huge cupcakes fan (they are usually dry, tasteless and a poor use of my limited allotment of calories!), but the ones at T's party actually looked appealling, so I put one on my plate. I fell in love at first bite! Wow! If I'd known the cupcake was going to be so good, I'd have skipped the tri-tip and just had cupcakes. I found out that you are the creator of these little bits of heaven and I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed them. These cupcakes are in a class by themselves. They are SCARY good! I think you have a successful career in baking ahead of you. My compliments, T.L.

| The fire is now 80% contained! I was in warning evacuation are, packed up some important belongings and left only because the air had gotten so mucky. The mandatory evacuation area was five blocks down, blocking the road which leads to work =) I headed south on Amtrak, spent some much needed time with good friends and family. Since the fire, my immune system has been completely shot. My fibromyalgia has kicked in full gear and I'm reacting to everything- food allergies, chemical sensitivities, lungs are recovering from smokey air and my g.i. is a mess. Been taking it easy and thankfully, I haven't had any orders lately (yeah fire). Next week, I have another big wedding order for a friend. Everyone seems to love ordering a mixture of black bottoms, lemon tea and red velvet cupcakes. I'll be baking a small cake for them as well. Business has been picking up this week. I was invited as a vendor to a French themed picnic for a theatrical group and also to a fashion professional's mixer weekend in Los Angeles. I have another wedding coming late August and likely another gig with the fashion industry in October.... Then I'm off to Hawaii!!! I'll be busy the next few weeks planning out my menu for the upcoming events while attempting to be more of a social bug. Network, network, network! No, no, no! I'd rather be at home with a movie and the boyfriend than out schmingling. Luckily, the bf understands and I also encourage him to socialize during his off days. We both work two jobs.... Relationships are tough when you're always working or always sick. Somehow, we're managing and ...he's still alive =) | | |
